We like side tables because of their subtlety. They’re not as grand as a dinner table, nor as front-and-center as a coffee table, and certainly not as temporary as a card table. In a living room, you might not even notice a side table until you need it to plop down a drink or set down a phone. In hallways, staircase landings, or other spaces between spaces, this square side table is perfect for setting warm personalized décor, like picture frames or tropical plants. Again, with a good side table, the focus is more on the functionality and contents of the tabletop. Yet this table still manages to sneak in style points with a timeless metal-and-wood construction and an interesting trapezoidal design to the frame.
